Taste of Bangla is the only restaurant I know where you will be coerced to pay by swish even through they claim to accept most major credit and debit cards in the information given on Google maps, The Fork and Tripadvisor - as well as on their entrance. Sometimes they'll say their machine is broken, sometimes they will mumble something incoherent until you give up and use Swish. I've had enough of this nonsense. It's acceptable to prefer one method of payment but to outright claim that you accept payment by card when you don't is not. A few years back this wasn't an issue - we asked to pay by card and you obliged. Nowadays, not so much. A shame since the food is rather good.

Worst food ever had. If you are an Indian person and like spicy Indian food, don’t visit this restaurant. I ordered prawns and fish curry (spicy). When I tasted, only two tastes I noticed, one is sweet and other chilly. No taste of salt and Indian herbs and spices. I think this restaurant understands spicy means lots of chilly without taste. Mango lassi and fire chicken pakora was good and tasty. Never recommend to any spice lovers.

First evening in Sweden and went with friends on a trip to Taste of Bangla. The food, atmosphere, service and vibe was top notch. I have never had such eloquently placed creaminess along with spices that tantalized my palette. Ordered as a group and we got all of the naan flavors which were amazing (magical butter?); the butter masala chicken was sweetened beyond what I’m used to but it worked marvelously; the fire chicken pakora was insanely HOT and spicy but each bite left me wanting more; the tandoori chicken was amazingly juicy and came with a side of tandoori sauce to dip which was excellent; the lettuce wrapped paneer was mild, spiced well, and a perfect wrap up for the table; and the fresh made coconut ice cream (kokosglass) and kulfi were the best deserts to cool down the stomach and cleanse the palette at the end. Definitely a worthwhile visit if visiting Uppsala!

I am well travelled and enjoy my indian food. I had the lamb leg curry and this was the best curry I’ve ever had. Out of this world food and very tasty. Defiantly recommend this restaurant and I’ll be back when I next visit Sweden. Very friendly staff, thank you you

Even after reading so many positive comments, I was still surprised at how good this lamb dish was! All 5 of us took 5 different dishes and all of us left with big smiles on our faces! Big Thanks to the kitchen and floor staff!

Maybe we didn't get the dishes we should've, but we felt thoroughly meh on our food. It looked better than it tasted - I got the traditional thali and all 3 were just fine, but I wouldn't go back for food again here. Oh but the mango lassi was indeed to die for! A little pricey for being thoroughly mediocre. Nothing bad, just... fine.

Good food , cozy atmosphere, nice staff, authentic flavor . Price little bit high. We have tried 3 dishes scampi , lamb biriyani and nehari. Everything was fantastic except scampi. I personally recommend nehari. One sincerely recommendation for the owner , listen to the gust carefully. Overall 👍👍👍👍
